Bricklive Animal Exhibit Leaving John Ball Zoo November 8: Photo Gallery
The popular Bricklive animal exhibit that was part of John Ball Zoo since May will be leaving after November 7.
The exhibit that features Lego-like animal creations was originally scheduled to leave on September 7th, but was extended.
John Ball Zoo was only the third zoo in the United States to get the exhibit and the fourth U.S. city to host a Bricklive exhibit.
The hours at John Ball Zoo have changed as of November 1st. The zoo is now open Friday through Sunday 10am to 4pm and closed Monday through Thursday.
You have only three days left (November 6, November 7 and November 8) to view these Lego replicas of more than 40 animals.
We were fortunate enough to view the exhibit this summer and our boys (2, 6, 8) loved the exhibit and found themselves reading the fact signs that listed how many bricks were used and how many hours went into creating each Lego replica.
If you’re a fan of Legos, you will be happy to hear that the Grand Rapids Public Museum will be opening a Lego exhibit soon.
The “Sean Kenney’s Wild Connections Made With Lego Bricks” exhibit will open on November 7 featuring works from the New York artist.
The exhibit seeks to “explore beautiful works of art made from Lego bricks to explore animal endangerment, the balance of ecosystems, and mankind’s relationship with nature.
Non member pricing for the Sean Kenney Lego exhibit is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $3 for children (under 2 are free).
