Michiganders Get Unique Chance to Rent Hell Thanks to Airbnb
Airbnb has offered a chance for vacationers to rent homes and hotels for short stays. A rather unique experience is being offered by Airbnb for three different nights in October to celebrate Halloween. The offer is only available to Michiganders and involves going straight to Hell.
Self-proclaimed mayor of Hell and Halloween lover John Colone is offering his throne for rent for three nights in October.
“I am the biggest Halloween fan in the world (and the underworld), so I hope that our little slice of paradise can fill fellow Halloween lovers with all of the frightful chills and spooky sensations of the season,” Colone said.
“I trust you’ll find that there is no place more welcoming than Hell on Earth – we can’t wait to show you a helluva good time!” Colone said.
Colone is renting out the “Mayor’s Lair” featuring a queen (of the damned) bed and gothic sitting area. The rental includes outdoor activities like an outdoor movie screen and fire pit.
Hell will be rented out for October 18, 21 and 24. Starting October 14th, Michigan residents can request to book a stay in Hell.
The cost will be a Halloween themed $31 plus taxes and fees.
Residents can expect safety and sanitation to be a top priority, even in a place like Hell. The rental will be in accordance with Aribnb’s enhanced cleanings protocols.
Colone has also taken the Pure Michigan Pledge, following strict disinfectatnt and social distancing protocols.
The rental will only be available to state residents and renters must come from the same household to help limit social distancing.
